Era Bistro

Janelle and I had a spur of the moment child-free night last Saturday (thanks to the Grandparents), and decided to head out to dinner. After tossing up between Era Bistro and The Corner Bistro & Wine Bar (our usual favourite), we ended up heading into South Brisbane with a last minute reservation at Era.

We booked late and arrived early, but the attached bar has a pretty decent selection of beer so we settled in for drinks. We got a decent seat and the service was excellent as usual. We shared the scampi tails for entrée, which was very nice, but like their other entrée's was a little on the pricey side.

For main we both had fish, Janelle had the Coral Trout (fish of the day) and I had Salmon. I was asked how I'd like it cooked, which as I've not been eating fish for very long, was a little confused by. Turns out it's how well would you like it cooked, similar to a steak. The meals are quite small, but we were fairly hungry, so we ordered a side of veges, which were delicious. Both meals were excellent, as was the beer and wine. All in all a good night with great food.
